Xizu Temple is the only Buddhist monastery in Madagascar. It was established in 2021 by Master Shi Wule, a revered Zen master and the 45th-generation inheritor of the Linji School, along with his disciples. Located on Leshan Mountain in Andranovelona, approximately 50 kilometers west of the capital city, Antananarivo, the temple was founded with the original intention of providing an oasis for spiritual cultivation and cultural exchange. It serves not only the local community but also welcomes visitors from around the world.

Master Shi Wule advocates the principles of 'Attaining Buddhahood through Virtue' and 'Harmonizing the World with Rituals and Music.' Leading his disciples, he founded the Wule Symphony Orchestra to promote Zen music and share traditional Eastern culture, fostering global cultural harmony and peace.
