Xizu Temple is the only Buddhist monastery in Madagascar. It was established in 2021 by Master Shi Wule, a revered Zen master and the 45th-generation inheritor of the Linji School, along with his disciples. Located on Leshan Mountain in Andranovelona, approximately 50 kilometers west of the capital city, Antananarivo, the temple was founded with the original intention of providing an oasis for spiritual cultivation and cultural exchange.
